Bob and the TCHA club members had ridden from Bangkok on the 14th to Pattaya where they meet with the children of the Camillian Social Center Rayong who where taking part in an event supported by the Central Festival Pattaya, on the second day they rode to Rayong collecting donations along the way.
This event was started a year ago at the end of an enormously arduous, epic journey by bicycle from London to Rayong Thailand by two young English ladies Liz and Catherine. http://www.hiv-aids-kids.org/event/event-bike-ride.html & http://www.hiv-aids-kids.org/event/rideforlife.html
The second part of this event was started by the Mayor of Pattaya outside the Pattaya Town Hall beginning at 7:00am after breakfast. I am sure on seeing them arrive at the center that for these fitness enthusiasts it was not such an arduous trip. As all seamed to be smiling having finished a trip that was very worth while, certainly for our children. A grand total of 103,632.50 Thai Baht was raised over the two day event.
Father Peter the current director of The Camillian Social Center Rayong and father Giovanni Contarin, founder of the center send their great thanks to Bob Usher, his wife, all the members of the TCHA and all who took part in this event.
On arrival at the center there was great excitement by all of our children and all the cyclist enjoyed a buffet lunch and some entertainment from our children.
